Implementing Innovation in Education

20th March 2018

Changes call for innovation, and innovation leads to progress. - Li Keqiang

The role of innovative global educators:

The role of global educators is challenging, who implement innovation in the education system, creating a culture that continuously looks to develop students’ strengths and improve in areas of weakness.

Innovative teaching has been viewed as a socio-cultural-constructivist and student-centred process where global learners are trained to be active in a supportive environment, engaging in authentic and problem-solving activities.

Schools are among the most important knowledge institutions of modern societies and global educators with training in school management courses in India have great potential to play a critical role in processes of knowledge production and dissemination, vital to innovation in the local and regional economy.

Core competencies of innovative teaching:

Innovative teaching also requires four competencies: learning, social, educational, and technological. These encompass a willingness and readiness to learn, communicate with students from different backgrounds, passion and knowledge and a use of technology to further student understanding.

By committing to listening to your students, providing opportunities for real-life learning, fostering creativity and making the material meaningful to them, you will achieve the implementation of innovative practices in your classrooms.

Teachers trained with a Certificate in Classroom Management India are utilizing better professional development tools, new content creation and other teaching tools, and the latest research in brain science to adapt and refine their methods.

Key areas of innovation based education:

Key areas in which innovation-based methods in the classroom enhance educational attainment include:

  • Laying emphasis on personalization
  • Employable skill development
  • Self-awareness and confidence building
  • Introduction of a hands-on approach
  • Deliverable computer and technical skills
  • Highlighting of new perspectives
  • Learning by overall increased engagement
  • Introduction to new ideas

Innovation enhances embracing new roles:

Educational managers and administrators trained in school management courses are in a continuous process to improve education systems, the most innovative of which is changing everything from school culture to student assessment. Students are embracing online learning, adaptive games, peer learning platforms, and many more learning channels.

A consistent aim for encouraging divergent thinking, embracing alternative solutions to problem-solving, and demonstrating sensitivity to problems helps educators achieve holistic educational goals.

Fostering innovative practices:

It has also been suggested that providing opportunities for active learning and stimulating learning interests could also help foster innovative practices in the classroom. Let us look at a few ways how:

  1. Ask your students how they learn best in their own innovative ways. They are valuable sources of information for learning through their eyes.
  2. Listen to your students and ask for their feedback on your teaching. Then, incorporate it. By doing so, you will be engaging your student in an innovative way.
  3. Take advantage of working in a team, using your network to brainstorm new ideas and learn what innovative practices are working for your learners.
  4. Use open-end communications to capitalize on the opportunity to learn more about teaching instructions and use that knowledge to fuel your innovative practices.
  5. Have fun and be creative, take risks and try new things. Learn from your own teaching and from what the learners are learning from you.
